Runs and Events
Peninsula Trail Runners is operated by volunteers.
A small behind the scenes team, Athletics Victoria certified Running Coaches, Personal Trainers and Members coordinate our social runs, training runs and events and these are advertised in 'events' within Team App and on Facebook.
To better support inclusivity PTR introduced the 'Spencer Davis Group (SDG) – Keep on Running'. PTR members meet at the same time and place and run for the same duration, however those that choose to run with the SDG take a more leisurely groove, covering a shorter distance but still as eventful.
A night run is held every Thursday from 8pm and caters for all abilities, usually alternating between the Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve, Pines Flora and Fauna Reserve and Seaford Foreshore Reserve, Moorooduc Rail Trail, Frankston Nature Reserve and Red Hill.
An introduction to the Peninsula 'The PTR Garden' is held on the last Sunday of the Month and caters for all abilities.
Runs are held most weekends around the Mornington Peninsula and local areas, aimed at various abilities, including: slow leisurely short runs, slow long runs, faster pace long runs and ultra runs.
Scheduled runs are advertised in 'events' within Team App and on our Facebook page.
Mornington Peninsula Parkrun is our home ground for a flat 5K time trial, and many PTR members can be found there, or at other Park Run locations, at 8am Saturday mornings testing their progress and celebrating PB's.
